Stephen G. Canton
Steve has a proven track record of leading technology companies through turnarounds, public offerings, and successful exits by leveraging emerging and disruptive technologies. He has served as Chairman of the Export-Import Bank of the United States Advisory Board, Chairman & CEO of iCore Networks, and held board positions with technology and defense firms. Steve currently serves as Chief Investment Officer for Anacostia Ventures LLC and has completed executive education at the University of Michigan and Harvard Business School.

Michael S. Bertamini
Michael Bertamini is an accomplished executive and strategic operator with leadership experience across technology, energy, and communications. He has served as CEO of Lux Speed, overseeing major operational scaling and market expansion, and as CEO of EnergyWare, leading the company through significant growth in energy-efficient infrastructure. He also served as a Board Director at AvSight, supporting strategic planning and operational development within the aviation technology sector.
Michael and his business accomplishments have been featured in multiple media outlets and awards programs, including Inc. Magazine, NVTC’s Hottest Management Team Award, Helios HR’s Apollo Award, and SmartCEO’s Executive of the Year Award. His reputation for disciplined execution and high-performance leadership has made him a respected operator in the industries he serves.

Joseph Statter
Joe serves as Anacostia Ventures CFO. Before joining Anacostia Ventures, Joe was the CFO of Kiswe Mobile Inc. (“Kiswe”), a technology and services provider enabling content owners to launch their own branded direct-to-consumer streaming platforms. Prior to joining Kiswe, Joe was the CEO of Varsity Care Adult Health Services, a non-residential senior services company where he executed a buy and build strategy. Before joining Varsity Care, Mr. Statter was a Managing Director and the President of Evergreen Advisors Capital, the investment banking subsidiary of Evergreen Advisors, LLC. Also during this time, Mr. Statter was a board member and investor in iCore Networks. Prior to joining Evergreen, Mr. Statter served as an investment professional and acting CFO to Capitol Acquisition Corp., a $262 million Special Purpose Acquisition Corporation (NYSE: CLA) engineering their successful acquisition of Two Harbors Investment Corp. (NYSE: TWO). Previously, Mr. Statter was a Managing Director and headed the Telecommunications and Media Investment Banking team of Friedman Billings Ramsey & Co., Inc. Mr. Statter began his career at Arthur Andersen & Co., as a senior member of their Corporate Finance Group after serving as a manger in their Tax Division.

Norman Harrison
Norman brings 40 years of experience as a legal, investment banking, investment fund, and consulting professional. He has been a frequent collaborator with Steve Canton for more than 25 years. Norman’s expertise extends to M&A and financing transactions, regulatory compliance, and associated investigations and disputes. He served as Vice Chair of iCore Networks and chaired the Special Committee that oversaw the process leading to iCore’s acquisition by Vonage. Norman is an honors graduate of Georgetown University (B.S. Finance) and Georgetown Law School.

John Martin
In his capacity as Senior Vice President of Technology for The Bozzuto Group, John has, for the past 20 years provided leadership and direction for corporate information technology. His areas of focus consist of artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, privacy and risk management. His information technology career has spanned diverse industries such as emerging technology, pharmaceutical, engineering and real estate development.
John commenced his career as a software engineer and continues his journey today helping accelerate business growth through technology. John believes that innovation, privacy, and cybersecurity must co-exist to advance business goals. Considered a lifelong learner, John is naturally curious and makes it a priority to grow—whether through formal education, industry research, feedback, or hands-on experience. John is deeply interested in artificial intelligence and quantum computing, particularly in how these emerging technologies can reshape industries and solve complex problems.
John received his Bachelor of Science, Computer Science, from Towson University, Master of Science, Information Systems, from Loyola University, MBA, from The Johns Hopkins University, Master of Law, Cybersecurity, from the University of Maryland, School of Law and Graduate certificate, Cybersecurity, Harvard University.
